Invitations

Invitations are the first impression people get of the party yet to come. What do you do with invitations you receive in the mail?? I put mine on the fridge and when the party is over, it goes in the trash. So while I LOVE ornate, expensive invitations, I also hate to waste money on them. You can always use Evite, a great, free, online invitation, but if you are going for a more formal gathering (wedding, baby showers, bridal showers), I always feel like a mailed invitation shows people that this event is important enough to buy stamps for. People are more apt to RSVP, so you tend to have a more accurate head count to prepare for. I have found SUPER cute invitations on vistaprint:

or...

And this one is my favorite

You can also purchase packages of invitations to print, at home, on your own printer, at places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels. No one will know you paid WAY less than you would have, had you purchased them from a stationary store. And if they don't like your invitations, no one will tell you anyway. :)
